Job summary

Action Technology seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer – Machine Safety in Irvington, NJ to own the site Machine Guarding Program and drive safety improvements across capital projects. You will lead risk assessments, manage safeguarding projects, and validate functional safety systems to meet OSHA and ISO standards.

The role requires 8–10 years in manufacturing engineering with a strong track record in safety, risk reduction, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering or automation discipline.
• 8–10 years of manufacturing engineering and safety experience.
• Experience leading machine safety risk assessments and projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead the site's Machine Guarding Program and machine safety initiatives.
• Conduct machine risk assessments and develop engineered risk reduction solutions.
• Validate functional safety systems and oversee FAT, SAT, and lifecycle activities.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, ANSI B11, NFPA 79, ISO 12100, ISO 13849, IEC 62061 and related standards.
