Job summary

Hargrove Controls + Automation, LLC is seeking a Machine Safety Specialist to assist with assessment, design, and validation of industrial safety systems. The role involves risk assessments, safety audits, and developing safety solutions in alignment with client requirements and industry standards.

The Specialist III will support project engineers, troubleshoot safety circuits, and contribute to commissioning and startup activities on projects across the United States.

Qualifications

• Ability to conduct machine safety audits and risk assessments.
• Experience with Sistema or other machine safety risk calculation methodologies.
• Knowledge of machine safety hardware, software, and related control technologies.
• Understanding of Safety Performance Level (PL) and Safety Integrity Level (SIL).
• Ability to read electrical schematics and machine safety drawings.

Responsibilities

• Assist with machine safety risk assessments, audits, and hazard identification.
• Assist in developing and implementing machine safety solutions in accordance with standards and client requirements.
• Assist with selection and application of machine safety devices and safety-related control components.
• Assist with verification and validation of machine safety functions.
• Participate in machine safety testing, commissioning, and startup activities.
