Job summary

Software Placement Group is seeking a Safety Specialist to support on-site projects involving installation of specialized material handling and automation equipment at client locations. This role is critical to driving strong EHS performance during equipment installation and maintenance, balancing both customer and company safety goals.

Qualifications

• Willingness to travel up to 90%, domestic with international travel involved.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing, reviewing, and updating site safety plans.
• Maintain safety plan documents and ensure compliance.
• Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies and procedures.
• Manage Safety Department staff, including performance reviews and coaching.
• Investigate incidents and lead preventive actions for accidents.
• Maintain hazard-free working conditions across sites.
• Collaborate with contractors and management to improve safety culture.
• Ensure site safety inspections at all facilities with company personnel.
• Coordinate site-specific safety training including first aid and CPR.
• Arrange health and safety testing by external agencies as needed.
• Perform risk assessments and implement risk mitigation measures.
