Position Summary
Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Microsoft 365 Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise Microsoft 365 solutions, with particular depth in Power Platform, PowerShell automation, Copilot Studio, and Microsoft Graph. You'll architect scalable, secure solutions and partner with infrastructure, security, compliance, and business teams to modernize collaboration and enable intelligent digital‑workplace capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Microsoft 365 Architecture & Engineering
- Lead design, administration, and optimization of Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Entra ID, and Purview.
- Set enterprise standards for architecture, configuration, and lifecycle governance; recommend platform enhancements.
- Lead complex migrations, tenant changes, and service improvements; own root‑cause analysis on escalated issues.
- Architect and deliver solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse.
- Own Power Platform governance: environment strategy, DLP policies, connectors, and application lifecycle management.
- Partner with business stakeholders on automation and reporting opportunities; mentor developers on best practices.
PowerShell Automation & Operational Efficiency
- Build and maintain advanced PowerShell automation for M365 administration, monitoring, compliance, and reporting.
- Automate provisioning/deprovisioning, license and group management, mailbox/Teams/SharePoint administration, and audit reporting.
- Develop reusable script frameworks that improve support consistency and reduce manual effort.
- Lead design, deployment, and governance of Copilot Studio solutions, including custom copilots and conversational workflows.
- Identify practical AI use cases with business and technical stakeholders; integrate Copilot Studio with M365 and Power Platform.
- Establish security, compliance, and support standards for AI‑powered solutions.
- Design and implement Microsoft Graph API integrations for automation, reporting, and solution extensibility.
- Manage app registrations, delegated/application permissions, authentication methods, and service principals.
- Enable reporting and development teams to expose and consume M365 data securely.
Governance, Security & Compliance
- Ensure solutions align with organizational policy and regulatory requirements; support identity, retention, and access governance.
- Contribute to architecture reviews, change management, and risk assessments for new or modified solutions.
- Serve as senior escalation point and subject‑matter expert for M365 engineering and automation.
- Translate business requirements into scalable, supportable solutions; maintain technical documentation and standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5–10+ years engineering and supporting enterprise Microsoft 365 environments.
- Deep hands‑on experience with M365 administration, Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse), PowerShell, Microsoft Graph API, and Copilot Studio.
- Strong understanding of Entra ID/IAM, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, M365 governance/security/compliance, and OAuth/app registration models.
- Proven experience architecting enterprise solutions at scale, with strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications: Microsoft 365 Certified Administrator Expert, Power Platform Solution Architect, Power Platform Developer/Functional Consultant, Azure identity/security, or AI/Copilot‑related credentials.
- Experience with Intune, Purview, Teams Phone/Rooms, Azure Automation/Logic Apps/Functions, SPFx, DevOps/ALM for Power Platform, and highly regulated environments.
