Job summary

JE Dunn’s Advanced Facilities Group (AFG) seeks an M/E Engineer 3 to perform increasingly complex mechanical, electrical and field construction activities. This role will collect data, develop estimates, and generate bid analyses in support of our strategy and values.

The position emphasizes safety, quality, and collaboration, with a path to Senior M/E Engineer and opportunities to influence sequencing and constructability reviews on large Industrial & Manufacturing projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related field.
• 5 years of construction and/or engineering experience (preferred).
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Learns and actively participates in safety and quality plans and culture.
• Completes entry level and routine mechanical, electrical and field construction activities.
• Develops budgetary M/E estimates based on program and schematic design information.
• Assists in reviewing mechanical and electrical options and completes systems analysis.
• Develops mechanical and electrical scopes of work for bid coordination.
• Assists in bid analysis and input during subcontractor selection.
• Develops sequencing requirements of systems to meet the schedule.
• Gains knowledge of design documents to identify quality problems and aids constructability reviews.
• Performs inspections to ensure specifications and timely quality of work.
• Promotes diversity and inclusion within JE Dunn.
