Job summary

BKF is seeking a Senior M&A Technology Integration Engineer to lead Microsoft 365 tenant integrations, Entra ID, and related infrastructure across acquisitions. You’ll own architecture, migration plans, risk, and execution standards while guiding internal engineers and vendors.

This is a hands-on, senior contributor role in a hybrid SF Bay Area setting, with travel to BKF and acquired-company sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Eight or more years of experience in systems engineering, cloud infrastructure, Microsoft 365, identity, or enterprise technology integration.
• Significant hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 and Entra ID.
• Experience designing or executing Microsoft 365 tenant-to-tenant migrations.
• Strong knowledge of Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online and OneDrive, identity, domains, licensing, and collaboration services.
• Strong PowerShell, automation, troubleshooting, and technical documentation skills.
• Experience providing technical direction to internal engineers, consultants, vendors, or technical project teams.
• Ability to translate business objectives into realistic technical plans and communicate technical risk to nontechnical stakeholders.
• Ability to support planned after-hours or weekend migrations.
• Ability to travel to BKF and acquired-company locations when needed.
• Experience with mergers, acquisitions, or divestitures.
• Experience with Intune, Windows Autopilot, Box, Box Shuttle, Azure, DNS, networking, and enterprise security controls.
• Experience supporting multiple concurrent integration projects.
• Relevant Microsoft, Azure, or security certifications.

Responsibilities

• Participate in technical discovery and due diligence, interpreting findings for BKF and refining requirements.
• Assess acquired-company technology licenses, subscriptions, and contracts; support harmonization and additional purchases.
• Develop integration architecture, migration plans, schedules, cutover plans, rollback procedures, and hypercare requirements.
• Serve as the technical authority for Microsoft 365 tenant integrations including Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive.
• Provide technical direction to internal and consulting systems engineers performing migrations.
• Coordinate SharePoint migrations and OneDrive-to-Box migrations.
• Work with Box Consulting on file-system and Box migration design and execution.
• Partner with Endpoint Deployment & Logistics to align identity, applications, security, and data readiness with laptop deployment.
• Coordinate dependencies with Cloud Operations, Service Operations, Security, and other teams.
• Provide hands-on engineering, scripting, automation, troubleshooting, and cutover support when required.
• Identify technical risks and communicate timelines clearly to leadership.
• Create and maintain integration standards, playbooks, scripts, and handoff procedures.
• Ensure steady-state ownership is transitioned to BKF operational teams after integration.
