Job summary

The People Of: Professional Services in Fort Lauderdale seeks a Senior Corporate M&A & Private Equity Associate with 6–8+ years of experience to lead complex transactions and manage client relationships.

You will draft and negotiate principal acquisition agreements, supervise junior lawyers, and coordinate with tax, regulatory, IP and finance teams to drive cross‑border deals across diverse industries.

Qualifications

• 6–8+ years of sophisticated corporate transactional experience with a focus on M&A.
• JD from an accredited law school and admission to a state bar.
• Experience at a leading law firm environment.
• Ability to independently manage transactions from inception through closing.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex M&A and private equity transactions from structuring through signing and closing.
• Draft and negotiate principal acquisition agreements and other significant documents.
• Serve as primary client contact, advising on legal, strategic and commercial issues.
• Lead high‑stakes negotiations and coordinate with multiple specialist teams.
• Supervise, mentor and develop junior associates and paralegals.
