Alvarez & Marsal in the United States (New York) is seeking a Senior Associate for the M&A and Performance Improvement group within the Private Equity Performance Improvement practice. You will drive due diligence, develop actionable plans, and support integration and carve-out programs for PE and corporate clients.

The role emphasizes client delivery, cross-functional collaboration, and rigorous analysis to maximize value across the deal lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 4–6+ years of professional experience in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, or corporate development.
• Experience in integration/separation planning and execution is a plus.
• MBA preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to travel up to 75%.

Responsibilities

• Identify key client issues and oversee workstreams.
• Develop recommendations and executive-ready deliverables.
• Lead client interactions and present findings to stakeholders.
• Coordinate across workstreams and mentor junior team members.
• Support integrations, carve-outs, and performance improvement engagements.
