Job summary

Clarivate is seeking a Senior Counsel-M&A to join its Legal team. Based in any North American Clarivate office, you will support corporate transactions including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, financing, and complex agreements.

This role partners with senior executives and reports to the Deputy General Counsel, Strategic Transactions & Technology. Required are a J.D., bar admission, and 5+ years in multinational M&A, with 3+ years at a major North American firm.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law and in good standing with the applicable bar association.
• 5+ years' experience as an attorney working primarily on complex, multinational mergers and acquisitions, including at least 3 years at a large North American law firm as a corporate/M&A associate.

Responsibilities

• Lead legal support for Clarivate's corporate transactions, including the review and negotiation of deal documents, assistance in structuring deals, and coordination of due diligence.
• Lead a variety of general corporate projects.
• Review and negotiate complex commercial agreements, as time permits.
• Identify ongoing personal training and developmental needs as part of continuous career and professional development.
• Some travel on an as needed basis.
