Job summary

Illapa Search is seeking an experienced Mergers & Acquisitions Associate for its Boston office within a leading international law firm. The role requires at least three years of M&A experience, strong ability to review financial statements and contracts, draft and negotiate agreements, and oversee due diligence.

You will advise clients on deal structures, communicate with stakeholders, and contribute to sophisticated transactions with a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of proven M&A experience.
• Review financial statements, contracts and documents to assess targets.
• Draft and negotiate merger, asset purchase, and confidentiality agreements.
• Oversee the due diligence process for M&A transactions.
• Research and analyze legal issues related to mergers and acquisitions.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, counterparties, and regulators.
• Advise clients on legal risks, deal structures and strategic considerations of merger and acquisition transactions.
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
