Legend Biotech in Somerset, NJ is seeking a Senior Engineer / Principal Engineer for Lentivirus Downstream Process Development. You will design, optimize, and scale purification processes for LVV to support GMP manufacturing and clinical programs, driving automation, analytics, and model-based development.

The role requires an advanced degree (PhD preferred) with 6+ years (PhD) or 8+ years (MS) in bioprocessing, deep expertise in downstream purification, and proficiency with Python or MATLAB.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (PhD preferred) in chemical/biomedical engineering or related field.
• 6+ years (PhD) or 8+ years (MS) in process development or bioprocess manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of bioprocess modeling and downstream purification.
• Experience with Python or MATLAB.

Responsibilities

• Design and scale LVV downstream purification processes.
• Develop mechanistic and AI-enabled process models for LVV.
• Perform data analytics and ML for process insights.
• Support tech transfer to GMP manufacturing and clinical production.
• Collaborate on cross-functional projects and ensure regulatory compliance.
