Job summary

Legend Biotech USA seeks a Senior Engineer / Principal Engineer to design, optimize, and scale lentiviral downstream processes in our Somerset, NJ site. You will build mechanistic and AI-enabled models, apply mass transfer and thermodynamics, and drive GMP transfers for clinical production runs.

You will lead cross-functional efforts, execute technology transfers, and mentor teams while developing scalable, robust purification workflows for LVV generation and advanced cell therapy programs.

Qualifications

• PhD preferred or MS with significant experience in biotech process development.
• 6+ years (PhD) or 8+ years (MS) in biotech process development or manufacturing.
• Strong background in bioprocess modeling/simulation and downstream purification workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, optimize, and scale LVV downstream purification processes.
• Create mechanistic and hybrid models to guide development and scaling.
• Perform data analytics and ML-based modeling to generate process insights.
