Job summary

Cornell University Hospital for Animals is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician II to join our 24/7 emergency care team in Ithaca, NY. You will work alongside board-certified veterinarians and LVTs, assist in critical procedures, and contribute to student education and clinical training.

We value leadership, independent work planning, and collaboration across services. Eligibility for NYS licensure and a desire for ongoing professional growth are required.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology required.
• New York State licensure or eligibility to become licensed in NYS.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience.
• Natural inclination towards leadership and ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Interest in ongoing career growth and advanced skill development.

Responsibilities

• Join our international team of emergency/critical care veterinarians and LVTs.
• Be part of a world-renowned specialty and emergency facility.
• Shape the future of veterinary medicine through collaboration with faculty and house officers and instruction of students.
• Provide technical expertise for routine and complex emergency procedures, including CPR and resuscitation.
• Work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
