Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) in Harlingen, TX is hiring a Licensed Vocational Nurse III to provide advanced nursing care for residents at the Rio Grande State Supported Living Center. This role supports complex medical, mental health and behavioral health needs, with opportunities to lead and train LVN staff.

Shifts include morning, evening and night; occasional overtime may be required. Telework is not available.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed LVN in TX or receiving reciprocity
• 6 months LVN experience preferred
• High standards of patient care and safety

Responsibilities

• Administers medications and treatments per facility protocol.
• Provides direct nursing care to residents with complex medical needs.
• Trains/directs Direct Support Professionals and LVN staff.
• Documents care and observations in medical records per policy.
