Job summary

McPherson Companies, Inc. seeks a Senior Sales and Engineering Representative to split time between sales, marketing, and technical support for Marine, Commercial and Industrial lubricants. This role also trains and develops the sales team to strengthen technical and selling skills.

The position emphasizes collaboration with account managers, RSMs, and marketing to plan campaigns and drive revenue, while mentoring staff and expanding strategic accounts across the Gulf Coast region.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Management, Marketing, or related business discipline.
• Technical certification(s) to include CLS, OMA1, and MLA1.
• 10+ years of relevant B2B sales experience with new business development.
• Ability to develop and implement winning sales strategies.
• Proven record of meeting sales quotas and deadlines.
• Experience mentoring a sales team and addressing strengths/weaknesses.
• Ability to align customer needs with company services and present compelling value propositions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with account managers and sales reps on opportunities and provide coaching for technical and sales skills.
• Create and document customer Business Reviews (quarterly or annual).
• Provide broad technical expertise to support lubricants knowledge and maintenance practices.
• Sell and negotiate beneficial solutions for customers and MOP.
• Develop and mentor account managers on expansion and penetration strategies.
• Plan sales campaigns with executives and marketing to improve effectiveness.
• Develop regional sales plans with RSMs, analyzing market and competitors.
• Support new business development with tools for focused prospecting.
• Interact with customers to improve products and understand needs; accompany sales staff to meetings when needed.
• Train and manage industrial sales representatives.
• Ensure profitability and growth of products across regions.
• Be an expert on product features and plan production/marketing/sales interactions across departments.
• Develop key account plans with value-added support documented in CRM.
