Job summary

CNA’s LTC Reserving and Finance team seeks a highly skilled actuary to manage monthly reserving and the financial close, enabling accurate reporting and risk management. You will lead cross-functional collaboration with Reserving, Claims, and Finance to modernize data workflows and improve analytic insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline; typically 5–7 years of related work experience.
• ASA credential is common and Fellowship is possible; candidates may have achieved FSA.
• Experience with actuarial valuation and financial reporting in an insurance setting; SOX controls familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly reserving and financial close processes with complex actuarial calculations.
• Drive reserve determination for LTC block to support monthly close and annual testing.
• Own data preparation workflows, adopting leading tools to modernize processes.
• Ensure accuracy of financial reports with adherence to SOX controls in collaboration with Finance.
