Job summary
Divergent is seeking a Commissioning Technician III to commission, calibrate, troubleshoot, and qualify large-format laser powder bed fusion 3D printers and related manufacturing equipment. You will verify performance, bring systems online, and support a range of subsystems including motion, powder handling, inert gas, and optics.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in equipment commissioning, machine integration, electromechanical assembly, manufacturing, testing, automation, robotics, or a related technical field.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electromechanical equipment.
- Strong technical documentation and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Commission LPBF printers and supporting equipment following assembly, installation, or major modification.
- Bring equipment online in a controlled sequence and verify performance against engineering requirements.
- Commission LPBF systems including motion, powder handling, inert gas, condensate collection, controls, and multi-laser optics.
- Verify interfaces, machine configuration, and conditions for calibration and qualification.
- Identify conditions affecting accuracy, repeatability, throughput, or production readiness.
- Perform optical calibration and verification for multi-laser LPBF systems and align lasers to build plane.
