Job summary

Divergent in Torrance, CA is seeking an Assembly & Test Technician I–IV to support hands‑on assembly, integration, inspection, testing, and manufacturing execution for large LPBF 3D printers. You will work with Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations to translate requirements into high‑quality hardware.

This role may be filled at Technician levels I–IV based on experience, independence, and leadership potential.

Qualifications

• Ability to read engineering drawings, BOMs, travelers, and specs.
• Experience with mechanical and electromechanical assembly.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools and measurement devices.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and integrate LPBF printer sub-assemblies using drawings and travelers.
• Install mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and related hardware.
• Perform precision fastening, alignment, verification, and testing.
• Verify hardware configuration and dimensional requirements.
• Troubleshoot test failures and perform rework as needed.
• Use ERP/MIS/MES systems to record work orders and production status.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to meet production goals.
• Provide guidance to other technicians and support process improvements.
