Job summary

IMEG seeks an experienced professional to design and analyze low‑voltage building systems, including IT cabling, security, and audiovisuals, while leading projects and mentoring others.

You will create detailed designs and calculations, perform site assessments, and ensure compliance with IMEG standards. The role involves client interaction, ongoing learning, and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

  • BS degree required in Electrical, Electronics, Computer or related STEM field or equivalent
  • 7–8 years in building design consulting; 11–12 years in construction industry preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead design and analysis of IT structured cabling, audio/video, security, and other low-voltage building systems.
  • Create detailed designs, specifications, and calculations using engineering software and tools per code and IMEG standards.
  • Perform site assessments and generate detailed technical analyses and reports.
  • Gather project requirements, communicate technical information, and build client relationships.
  • Review low-voltage system designs, calculations, and specifications during design development.
  • Apply IMEG quality control processes to ensure designs meet standards and client requirements.
  • Provide technical training and mentoring, and assist with field issue resolution.
  • Stay current on industry trends and contribute to R&D within IMEG.
  • Prioritize safety and mitigate safety risks related to ICT systems.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Participate in project interviews and presentations.
  • Coordinate, oversee, and manage projects; assist with scope, fee calculations, and contracts.
