Job summary

IMEG is seeking a Technology Project Designer in Indianapolis, IN to design and oversee low-voltage ICT systems, including IT cabling, AV and security components, with an emphasis on education and institutional clients. You may lead technical design efforts or manage project delivery, risk, and client coordination, while mentoring staff.

The role involves cross-functional collaboration, adherence to IMEG standards, and staying current with industry trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer or related Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, related STEM field, or equivalent required.
• 7 years of experience minimum required, 8 preferred, in the building design consulting industry OR
• 11 years of experience minimum required, 12 preferred, in the building design consulting or construction industry

Responsibilities

• Lead design and analysis of IT structured cabling, audio/video, security, and other low-voltage building systems.
• Create detailed designs, specifications, and calculations using engineering software and tools in accordance with code requirements and IMEG standards.
• Perform site assessments and generate detailed technical analyses and reports.
• Gather project requirements, communicate technical information, and build client relationships through professional communication.
• Review low-voltage system designs, calculations, and specifications during design development.
• Apply IMEG quality control processes to ensure designs meet IMEG quality standards, industry standards, and client requirements.
• Provide technical training and mentoring, and assist with resolution of field issues with limited support from senior staff.
