Job summary

Power Design Inc. is seeking a seasoned Low Voltage Designer to craft and integrate low voltage systems for commercial and multifamily projects. You will guide bidding, design, permitting and construction while ensuring code-compliant and contract-compliant solutions.

Applicants should have 5+ years in low voltage design, with fire alarm, high-rise experience, and solid AutoCAD/Microsoft Office skills. Hybrid work options are available, reflecting our flexible workplace culture and strong team

Qualifications

Five or more years of experience with low voltage system design.
Knowledge of fire alarm design, high-rise design, smoke control, and systems product knowledge.
Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
Understanding of building, fire, and electrical codes.

Responsibilities

Design low voltage systems, including intrusion, access control, CCTV, DAS, LAN, and Wi‑Fi for commercial and multifamily projects.
Provide technical assistance for multiple projects during bidding, design, permitting and construction.
Provide efficiency reviews or value engineering options for existing designs.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, and project personnel.
Design code-compliant, contract-compliant, and cost-effective systems while reviewing scopes, specs, plans, and contracts.
