Job summary

Power Design, Inc. in Saint Petersburg, FL is seeking an Associate Low Voltage Designer to translate project documents into code-compliant, cost-efficient low voltage systems for commercial and multifamily projects.

This role is based at our hybrid work headquarters with growth opportunities. Ideal candidates have 4+ years of low voltage design experience, proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, and strong collaboration with clients and project teams.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience with Low Voltage Systems design.
• Exposure to large-scale, multi-family residential construction projects is highly preferred.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and / or Revit as well as Bluebeam Revu is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Responsibilities

• Design low voltage systems, including intrusion, access control, CCTV, LAN, Wi-Fi networks, for commercial and multifamily projects.
• Provide efficiency reviews and/or value engineering options for existing designs.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and project personnel to align on specifications and scopes.
• Design code-compliant, contract-compliant, and cost-effective systems while reviewing scopes of work, specifications, plans and legal contracts.
