Power Design, Inc. seeks a skilled Low Voltage Systems Designer to craft code-compliant designs for fire alarm and low voltage systems on commercial and multifamily projects.

You will design device layouts, systems circuitry, calculations, and drawings, while coordinating with clients and project teams to ensure quality and cost effectiveness. Hybrid work options are available and growth is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience with low voltage system design.
• Knowledge of the technical aspects of fire alarm design, including high-rise design, smoke control experience, and systems product knowledge.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Understanding of building, fire, and electrical codes.
• Demonstrate and uphold all of Power Design’s core values, which include integrity, accountability, teamwork, innovation, and growth.

Responsibilities

• Design low voltage systems, including intrusion, access control, CCTV, DAS, LAN, Wi-Fi Networks, and more for commercial and multifamily projects.
• Act as a resource and provide technical assistance for multiple projects during bidding, design, permitting, and construction
• Provide efficiency reviews and/or value engineering options for existing designs
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and project personnel
• Design code-compliant, contract-compliant, and cost-effective systems while reviewing scopes of work, specifications, plans, and legal contracts
