Job summary

Power Design, Inc. is seeking a skilled Low Voltage Systems Designer to craft code-compliant designs for fire alarm and other low voltage networks on commercial and multifamily projects.

You will design layouts, circuits, calculations, and drawings, while acting as a design resource across bidding, permitting, and construction. You bring five or more years of low voltage design experience, strong fire alarm knowledge, and proficiency with AutoCAD and MS Office, plus a solid grasp of building and

• Five+ years of experience in low voltage system design.
• Strong knowledge of fire alarm design concepts.
• Ability to review codes and ensure code compliance.

Responsibilities

• Design low voltage systems for commercial and multifamily projects including intrusion, access control, CCTV, DAS, LAN, and Wi‑Fi.
• Provide technical assistance during bidding, design, permitting, and construction.
• Perform efficiency reviews and value engineering on existing designs.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and project teams to ensure contract and scope alignment.
• Develop code-compliant, contract-compliant, cost-effective system designs.
