Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Low Observable (LO) Coatings Technician to join its advanced manufacturing team. You will prepare, mix, and apply RAM and LO coatings to composite and metallic airframe structures for autonomous aircraft where signature performance is mission-critical.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years of coatings experience in production or research.
• Proficiency with HVLP and conventional spray equipment and tight DFT control.
• Experience with composite surface prep and MIL-spec/readings.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and MIL-spec docs.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.
• Ability to wear full PPE and work in PPE-required environments.
• Ability to stand, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs; travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and apply LO coatings, RAM, and primers/topcoats to substrates.
• Perform surface prep of carbon fiber/epoxy composites and metals.
• Mix multi-component coating systems per process specs and verify viscosity.
• Apply coatings by HVLP, airless, hand layup, squeegee, or brush and verify thickness.
• Operate and maintain spray equipment, booths, and curing ovens.
• Interpret drawings and MIL-spec documents and maintain records.
• Support development of new LO coating processes and techniques.
• Perform rework and repair of nonconforming coatings.
• Identify process improvements and support lean manufacturing.
• Maintain safety, environmental, and quality system compliance.
