Job summary

Anduril Industries in Ashville, Ohio, seeks a Senior Low Observable Technician to join our LO coatings team. Prepare, mix, and apply radar-absorbing materials (RAM), LO coatings, and aerospace primers/topcoats to composite and metallic airframes for autonomous systems where signature performance is mission-critical.

This is a hands-on manufacturing role requiring spray, squeegee, and layup techniques, strict process discipline, and collaboration with engineering to drive continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience applying coatings (primers, topcoats) in a production or research environment.
• Proficiency with HVLP and conventional spray equipment; ability to control DFT within tight tolerances.
• Experience with composite substrate surface preparation (hand abrasion, solvent wipe, media blast).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, process specifications, and MIL‑spec documents.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and apply LO coatings, RAM, and aerospace primers/topcoats to substrates.
• Perform surface preparation of carbon fiber/epoxy composites and metallic structures.
• Mix multi‑component coating systems per process specs, ensuring correct ratios and viscosity.
• Apply coatings via HVLP, airless spray, hand layup, trowel, squeegee, and brush to meet specifications.
• Maintain spray equipment, mixing stations, spray booths, and curing ovens.
• Interpret and work from engineering drawings, process specs, MIL‑spec docs.
