Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks a Low Observable Technician to join our advanced manufacturing team. You will perform composite bodywork, surface finishing, and LO coating prep, owning surface geometry and interfaces critical for coating performance.

Responsibilities include working with engineering drawings, 3D models, and MIL specs; supporting the LO paint team; and ensuring dimensional accuracy and process traceability in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years hands-on experience in composite/metal structures.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and MIL-spec documents.
• Experience with precision measurement tools: feeler gauges, calipers, micrometers.
• Knowledge of aerospace quality requirements (AS9100/Nadcap).
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform composite bodywork and finish surfaces to specified profiles.
• Apply and finish fillers, gap fillers, and sealants at panel interfaces.
• Fit and install composite panels and LO-critical fairings to tolerances.
• Fabricate minor repair patches using wet layup or prepreg.
• Prepare surfaces for LO coatings and masking layouts for coatings.
• Support LO paint team during spray operations and related tasks.
• Interpret engineering drawings and MIL-spec documents for manufacturing.
• Maintain process documentation, traceability, and inspection data.
• Identify and propose improvements to surface finishing and paint-prep workflows.
