Job summary

RTX is hiring for a Materials Lead role in Tucson, AZ. The position is onsite with US citizenship and an active DoD Top Secret clearance required on day one.

The role covers material development, testing, and integration across Raytheon product lines, with leadership on Integrated Product Teams and mentoring responsibilities. You will perform material measurements, use CEM tools for performance predictions, and interact with customers and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Requires STEM degree with 5+ years experience or an advanced degree with 3+ years experience.
• Experience in Low Observables or Radar materials.
• Experience in material characterization, testing/prediction, or design/integration on air vehicles.
• Experience with customer and supplier collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead material development, characterization, and system integration across Raytheon product lines.
• Predict material performance using computational methods and test developmental/production systems.
• Perform measurements of constitutive and RF attenuation properties and predict performance with CEM tools.
• Work in IPTs to incorporate advanced signature control techniques into deliverables.
• Mentor early career engineers and own tasks as Materials Lead on IPTs.
• Interface with customers and suppliers; prepare engineering documentation.
