Job summary

FalconX in New York City seeks an experienced Infrastructure/Systems Engineer to optimize low-latency trading platforms. You will architect AWS and hybrid cloud infrastructure for microsecond execution, tune Linux kernels, and implement zero-downtime release pipelines for core engines.

Collaborate across teams to boost reliability, performance, and security while building real-time telemetry with Grafana Cloud, Prometheus, and Alloy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in infrastructure or systems engineering in low-latency trading environments.
• Deep Linux kernel knowledge: performance tuning, memory management, and network I/O optimization.
• Hands-on AWS low-latency constructs: Placement Groups, ENA/ENI, high-performance EC2.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines for stateful trading systems (Jenkins, ArgoCD, GitHub Actions).
• Familiarity with FIX protocol, Aeron messaging, and low-latency routing.

Responsibilities

• Build, scale, and optimize core low-latency trading platforms.
• Architect AWS and hybrid cloud infra for microsecond execution.
• Design and maintain release pipelines for trading engines with zero-downtime deployments.
• Collaborate to improve platform reliability, performance, and security.
• Provision high-throughput messaging paths (Aeron, FIX gateways).
• Drive infrastructure automation with Terraform and Ansible.
• Build real-time telemetry pipelines using Grafana Cloud, Prometheus, and Alloy.
