Job summary

81 North seeks a senior, hands-on engineer to build its next-generation algorithmic trading and smart-order-routing platform in New York City. This greenfield role involves working closely with traders and product stakeholders while shaping architecture and code.

You will own execution algorithms, routing logic, and low-latency systems, with emphasis on performance, reliability, and scalable design in a fast-moving digital-asset environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of electronic or algorithmic trading technology experience.
• Direct SOR, execution-algorithm, OMS or EMS experience.
• Low-latency systems, concurrency, networking and memory management.
• FIX, market gateways and real-time market-data feeds.
• Linux and performance-profiling experience.
• Experience partnering directly with traders and business stakeholders.
