Job summary

Citi is seeking a Senior Java Developer for the Equities Electronic Trading SOR team in a hybrid role in the Jersey City/New York area. You will design, develop, and optimize the core low-latency SOR platform using modern Java and microservices.

Work with product and quantitative researchers to deliver new trading capabilities, improve tests, CI/CD, and deployment. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience designing automated trading systems, especially SORs.
• Knowledge of FIX protocol and market data handling.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and optimization of high-performance, low-latency microservices for the Smart Order Router.
• Implement and enhance routing logic, venue analysis, and performance tuning for best execution.
• Conduct design reviews and ensure architectural integrity and code quality.
• Collaborate with product, quants, and other tech teams to deliver new trading capabilities.
• Improve testing frameworks, toolchains, and CI/CD for a high-throughput environment.
• Analyze business requirements and resolve complex technical challenges.
