Job summary

DNV Energy Systems is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join our low‑carbon team in the United States. You will work with process engineers to identify customizable solutions for clients’ energy transition challenges, focusing on hydrogen, ammonia, methanol, synthetic fuels, LNG and CCS integration.

The role emphasizes process modeling, FEL stage involvement, and Front-End Loading delivery, with a dynamic hybrid schedule across Seattle, Houston, Oakland, Medford or Portland offices.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum five years in process engineering with modeling exposure.
• Experience creating PFDs, P&IDs and related design deliverables.
• Ability to travel up to 10% for conferences and sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform due diligence on hydrogen, ammonia, methanol and LNG processes.
• Scale and optimize production processes for various scales.
• Use low-carbon tech knowledge to model scenarios for decisions.
• Develop mass and energy balances and assess end-use impacts.
• Contribute to knowledge management and proposal support.
• Lead multi-project activities in a fast-paced environment.
• Review capital project docs across FEL stages and construction.
• Design processes with modeling tools to prepare cost estimates.
