MAPFRE is seeking a Century Reinsurance & Loss Trends Analyst to join us in a hybrid capacity from Albuquerque or remotely. The role emphasizes analytical rigor, loss trend projection, and data-driven decision support across Claims, Underwriting, Finance, and Risk.

Key duties include building Power BI dashboards, validating large datasets, and collaborating with technology partners to enhance reporting capabilities. Strong SQL, Python/R, and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in analytical, financial, risk management, actuarial, reinsurance, insurance, or related role.
• Experience performing quantitative analysis and developing data-driven insights.
• Advanced proficiency with SQL and experience working with large and complex datasets.
• Experience using business intelligence and data visualization tools, particularly Power BI.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and validate large financial, operational, claims, underwriting, and portfolio datasets to identify patterns and trends.
• Project loss trends, frequency, severity, and financial impacts.
• Produce projections and forecasts based on historical data and business assumptions.
• Develop and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards monitoring KPIs and reinsurance metrics.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reports for reinsurers and senior leadership.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and performance monitoring through structured analysis.
