Qualifications

• 5+ years in risk assessment or commercial insurance operations.
• Thorough knowledge of commercial insurance coverages & underwriting process.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong coaching, mentoring and team-building skills.
• Understand Product Liability exposures and controls.
• Account management experience preferred; may oversee projects.
• Comfortable working with underwriters, brokers, and insureds.
• Strong planning and negotiating skills; adept with contracts and pricing considerations.
• Pursuing or holding an advanced degree or professional certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee loss control direction, coordination, and evaluation of new business and dedicated accounts.
• Assess service needs and ensure quality accounts are added to the portfolio.
• Monitor loss development and deploy loss control resources to maintain profitability.
• Coordinate internal and vendor loss control activities and provide feedback to maximize performance.
• Match internal and specialist service providers based on skill sets.
• Direct account coordination, work direction, quality assurance, problem solving.
