Job summary

SMX is seeking a Project Manager in the PMO to lead SOCPAC logistics projects and liaise with government points of contact. You will support program leadership with administrative oversight, operations coordination, and coordination with multiple commercial vendors to meet mission objectives.

The role requires extensive DoD contracting experience, PACOM AOR transportation knowledge, and the ability to brief senior government leaders on programmatic and financial status.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance required.
• DoD government contracting experience in a customer-facing role.
• PACOM AOR transportation networks experience.
• Experience coordinating Airforce Joint Inventory processes.
• Knowledge of MIL and commercial transportation documentation (import/export, VAT exemptions, etc).
• Knowledge of process improvement techniques and ability to direct improvement initiatives.
• Experience briefing senior government on programmatic and financial status.
• Experience leading contracts for complex development/production/fielding of platforms or support initiatives.
• SOCOM program management or technical leadership experience.
• Knowledge of government funding and authority types.
• Ability to travel up to 5% – Passport valid through 2027.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial oversight and contracting execution for all project requirements.
• Report status, develop program documentation, track deliverables, and maintain metrics.
• Support operational planning and evaluation of a multi-faceted program with customer collaboration.
• Establish and maintain relationships with government program managers.
• Manage daily communications, deliverable tracking, and financial reporting with subcontractors.
