Senior Logistics PMO Lead — DoD/SCI (SOCOM)

Job summary

SMX is seeking a Project Manager to join the PMO in a leadership role supporting SOCPAC logistics projects and liaising with government contacts. The role assists the program leadership with oversight, operations coordination, and collaboration with multiple commercial vendors to achieve mission objectives.

Essential duties include financial oversight and contracting, status reporting, documentation, lessons learned, and maintaining production/quality metrics.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance required.
• Experience in government contracting (DoD preferred) in a customer-facing role.
• PACOM AOR transportation management experience.
• Experience coordinating Air Force Joint Inventory processes.
• Extensive MIL and Commercial transportation documentation knowledge (import/export, VAT Exempt, SDDGs, etc).
• Knowledge of process improvement techniques and ability to direct improvement initiatives.
• Experience briefing senior government on programmatic and financial status.
• Experience leading large contracts with complex development, production, and fielding of platforms or support initiatives.
• SOCOM experience in PM or technical leadership role.
• Knowledge of government funding and authority types.
• Ability to travel (≤5%) – active passport through 2027.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial oversight and contracting for all project requirements.
• Report status, document program/project details, capture lessons learned, and maintain production and quality metrics.
• Support operational planning, execution, and evaluation of a multi-faceted program with customer collaboration.
• Establish and maintain relationships with government program managers.
• Manage daily communication, deliverable tracking, and financial reporting with subcontractors.
