Job summary

SMX is seeking a Project Manager to join the integrated program management office (PMO) in a leadership role supporting SOCPAC logistics projects. You will liaise with government points of contact and assist the program leadership team with administrative oversight and operations coordination.

You’ll collaborate with multiple commercial vendors to achieve mission objectives, provide oversight of contracting functions, and report on status, metrics, and lessons learned.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance required.
• DoD contracting experience in a customer-facing role.
• PACOM AOR transportation networks experience.
• Air Force Joint Inventory process coordination experience.
• Knowledge of MIL and Commercial transportation documentation (import/export, VAT Exempt, SDDGs).
• Knowledge of process improvement techniques and ability to direct improvement initiatives.
• Experience briefing senior government on programmatic and financial status.
• Experience supporting large contracts leading complex development, production, fielding of platforms, and/or support initiatives with technical objectives.
• Experience with SOCOM in a Program Management or Technical Leadership role.
• Knowledge of different government funding and authority types.
• Ability to travel (≤5%) – Active Passport through 2027

Responsibilities

• Conduct financial oversight and execution of contracting functions for all project requirements.
• Reports status, develops program/project-related documentation, implements lessons learned, and updates and maintains production and quality metrics for assigned programs and projects.
• Supports operational planning, execution, and evaluation of a multi-faceted program that requires collaboration with customers.
• Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with the government’s program managers.
• Manages daily communication, deliverable tracking, and financial reporting status with multiple subcontractors for assigned projects.
