Job summary

SMX is seeking a Project Manager to join the integrated program management office (PMO) in a leadership position supporting SOCPAC logistics projects, and will serve as a liaison with government points of contact. The ideal candidate will assist the program leadership team with administrative oversight, operations coordination, and collaborate with multiple commercial vendors to achieve the overall mission objectives.

The proposed salary for this position is: $135,000—$165,000 USD.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance required.
• Government contracting experience in a customer-facing role.
• PACOM AOR transportation management experience.
• Experience coordinating Air Force Joint Inventory processes.
• Extensive MIL and commercial transportation documentation knowledge.
• Ability to apply process improvement techniques and lead initiatives.
• Experience briefing senior government on programmatic and financial status.
• Experience supporting large DoD contracts and complex development/fielding projects.
• SOCOM program management or technical leadership experience.
• Knowledge of federal funding and authority types.
• Willingness to travel up to 5% with passport valid through 2027.

Responsibilities

• Conduct financial oversight and contracting for all project requirements.
• Reports status, documents programs, implements lessons learned, and maintains production and quality metrics.
• Supports operational planning, execution, and evaluation with customers.
• Establishes and maintains relationships with government program managers.
• Manages daily communication, deliverable tracking, and financial reporting with subcontractors.
