Job summary

NXTPoint Logistics in Tulsa, OK is seeking an Operations Manager to support the execution and performance of the operation at a specific location, including staffing and customer relationships.

You will oversee recruitment, performance evaluation, budget planning, and KPI-driven process improvements while maintaining safety and compliance across local operations. Strong leadership, bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years’ experience in the transportation or logistics industry.
• Experience managing an employee team.
• Experience working with Independent Contractors on a regular basis.
• Required knowledge of managing financial performance.
• Spanish bilingual strongly preferred.
• Four year college degree in Business, Supply Chain Logistics, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee recruitment and development strategy for staff and/or Independent Contractors/Drivers.
• Evaluate staff and/or Independent Contractors performance and adjust strategies as needed.
• Establish and maintain effective communication with customers to ensure a positive experience.
• Ensure practices, policies and procedures are enforced and implemented.
• Schedule and participate in vendor negotiations to secure best value and service standards.
• Maintain a safe working environment and promote a culture of safety.
• Review KPIs and drive process improvement initiatives.
• Conduct regular team meetings and training sessions to improve performance.
• Assist in planning annual equipment, vehicle, and staffing needs for budget purposes.
• Monitor P&L performance and align operations with budget goals.
