Job summary

Penske Logistics seeks a Senior Operations Manager in Washington to lead staff, meet customer obligations, and drive operational stability. You will partner with the customer's logistics manager, oversee scheduling, and guide improvements across routes, inventory, and warehouse operations.

Responsibilities include budgeting, ensuring timely payroll and billings, maintaining safety standards, and delivering value through cost savings and process optimization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years logistics and supply chain experience required.
• At least 3 years managerial or supervisory experience required.
• Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
• Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Willingness to travel as necessary and meet schedule requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide tactical direction to staff to meet customer requirements and Penske goals.
• Interact daily with the local customer to identify needs and improvements.
• Develop and execute annual financial and operating plan and manage P&L.
• Monitor safety, ensure compliance, and improve workplace conditions.
• Track value delivered and pursue profitable opportunities for customers.
