Job summary

Forgent Power in MN is seeking a Logistics Supervisor to plan, implement and oversee efficient movement, storage, and distribution of goods. You will work with carriers, warehouses, and internal teams to optimize the supply chain and deliver on time and within budget.

The role is full-time, salaried with standard hours, and may require after-hours work during peak periods. Leadership of logistics staff and system implementation are key facets of this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics or related field, or pertinent work experience.
• 7–10 years in logistics, supply chain, or transportation management.
• Experience with TMS, WMS, ERP systems and Lean principles.
• Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and manage inbound and outbound logistics operations.
• Oversee transportation and distribution activities.
• Develop and maintain relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and vendors.
• Monitor logistics costs, prepare budgets, and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
• Analyze logistics performance metrics and implement process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with local, national, and international shipping regulations.
• Manage and lead logistics staff, including hiring, training, and performance reviews.
• Resolve shipment delays, damages, and other logistics-related issues.
• Coordinate with purchasing, production, sales, and customer service teams.
• Implement and maintain logistics systems and tools (e.g., TMS, WMS, ERP).
