Job summary

Rocket EMS, Inc. is seeking a Logistics Manager to oversee end-to-end material movement across operations. You will manage shipping/receiving, dock operations, domestic and international transportation, freight spend, and compliance, coordinating with the Stockroom Manager and third-party providers.

The role leads the Shipping and Receiving team, negotiates with carriers, and ensures on-schedule, cost-effective delivery while maintaining safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• At least five years of logistics/transportation experience in electronics manufacturing services or similar.
• Experience leading shipping, receiving, transportation, or fleet personnel.
• Strong knowledge of domestic and international freight, carrier management, and customs documentation.
• Experience with parcel, LTL, FTL, expedited, air, ocean freight and related paperwork.
• ERP/MRP proficiency; strong Excel and freight reporting skills.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily shipping, receiving, and dock activities with KPI focus.
• Oversee freight spend and negotiate with carriers to reduce costs.
• Plan and execute domestic/international shipments and routing.
• Coordinate with planning, purchasing, production, and customer service.
• Ensure compliance with DOT, ITAR, EAR and regulatory standards.
• Mentor Shipping and Receiving staff and develop driver schedules.
