Job summary

Essex Food Ingredients is seeking a Senior Logistics Manager to lead transportation execution, private fleet coordination, and logistics administration across Frazer and Sayreville, PA and NJ locations.

The role supervises Frazer Drivers, Sayreville Drivers, and the Logistics Coordinator, ensuring safe, compliant, cost-effective delivery performance with FMCSA/DOT oversight. Reports to the VP of Supply Chain and drives cross-functional process standardization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Five or more years of progressive logistics, transportation, fleet, dispatch, or distribution leadership experience.
• Working knowledge of FMCSA/DOT requirements, including driver qualification, hours of service, vehicle inspection, safety, accident documentation, and compliance recordkeeping.
• Experience managing drivers, dispatch activity, route planning, delivery performance, and transportation issue resolution.
• Ability to lead teams, standardize processes, communicate across departments, and use operational data to drive improvement.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage Frazer Drivers, Sayreville Drivers, and the Logistics Coordinator.
• Set expectations for professionalism, safety, attendance, customer interaction, paperwork accuracy, equipment care, and communication.
• Provide coaching, daily direction, performance feedback, and accountability for results.
• Develop consistent procedures for dispatching, routing, driver check-in, delivery confirmation, exception management, and logistics communication.
