Job summary

Dexterra is seeking an experienced Lodge Manager to lead operations at a large-scale workforce accommodation site, overseeing safety, guest experience, and financial performance.

The role requires managing multi-service operations, coordinating a unionized workforce, and delivering high-quality service on rotation schedules. Onsite duties include safety, client relations, reporting, and continuous improvement to meet contractual standards.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in workforce accommodation operations, hotel, hospitality, or industrial services.
• Experience managing large, multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience working with a unionized workforce is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety, and compliance systems.
• Experience managing budgets, inventory, reporting, and cost controls.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict resolution capabilities.
• Post-secondary education in hospitality, business, or related field is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operation of the lodge, ensuring safety, efficiency, and contract compliance.
• Lead all core service areas: accommodations, front desk, food services, housekeeping, janitorial, recreation, guest services.
• Maintain operational continuity in a high-volume, fluctuating occupancy environment.
• Monitor occupancy, room allocation, guest movement, and site logistics for smooth execution.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, service delivery, hospitality, and guest satisfaction.
• Lead, coach, and support supervisors and frontline employees across functions.
• Align staffing with occupancy forecasts and budget requirements.
• Serve as primary operational contact for client representatives and site stakeholders.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships; participate in reviews and KPI discussions.
• Address service issues and escalations while maintaining client confidence.
• Ensure timely reporting, daily summaries, weekly reporting, and billing support.
• Monitor KPIs, audit findings, and site trends to drive improvement.
• Oversee workforce records, onboarding, and admin compliance.
• Manage site-level financial controls including labor, purchasing, and inventory.
• Coordinate maintenance activities and preventive upkeep.
• Monitor facility condition and asset performance; address service requests.
• Deliver a high standard of guest experience across lodge operations.
• Lead continuous improvement; develop SOPs and track KPI trends.
• Support long-term planning and peak-demand readiness.
