Job summary
Dorchester Bay Economic Development Corporation (DBEDC) seeks a Senior Loan Officer to expand mission-driven lending for Boston’s underserved entrepreneurs. You will conduct independent credit analysis, lead underwriting, and drive loan approval processes to close high-impact small business loans.
Responsibilities include developing a strong pipeline, coaching loan officers, and maintaining CRM data while ensuring compliance with lending standards. Travel within Greater Boston may be required.
Qualifications
- 8 years of progressive experience in small business lending, commercial lending, CDFI lending, or community finance.
- Strong proficiency in loan underwriting and credit analysis.
- Experience working with under-banked, low-income, and underserved entrepreneurs is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Underwrite complex small business and community development loans with full credit analysis.
- Prepare comprehensive credit memoranda and present recommendations to Credit Officer and Director of Lending.
- Lead the loan lifecycle from initial file review to final decision and closing.
- Develop and maintain referral networks and market outreach to entrepreneurs and community partners.
- Monitor portfolio performance and assist with collections as assigned.
