Paycom is seeking a Loan Documentation Specialist to prepare, review, and process loan documents for various lending products. You will ensure compliance with internal policies and state and federal laws, working closely with loan officers and bank operations to complete documentation accurately and on time.

The role requires careful attention to detail, proficiency with loan origination systems, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
  • Five years of experience in loan operations, servicing, or similar roles.
  • Understanding of TRID, Flood, UDAAP, BSA, and HMDA.
  • Experience with loan origination and record retention systems.

Responsibilities

  • Review loan documentation packages for accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and internal policies.
  • Collaborate with loan officers and operations staff to resolve discrepancies.
  • Enter and update loan data in the loan origination system.
  • Monitor and file loan documentation; support post-closing audits.
  • Respond to inquiries related to loan documentation.

SummaryThe Loan Documentation Specialist is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and processing loan documents for various types of lending products. This role ensures that all loan documentation complies with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and State and Federal laws and regulations. The Specialist works closely with loan officers, loan assistants and bank operation personnel to ensure accurate and timely completion of the loan documentation processes.Primary ResponsibilitiesReview loan documentation packages for accuracy and completeness.Ensure loan documentation is in compliance with federal and state regulations and aligned with the credit approval, bank policies, and department proceduresCollaborate with loan officers, loan assistants and other operation personnel to resolve documentation discrepanciesEnter and update loan data into the loan origination system as neededVerify borrower information, collateral details, and loan termsMonitor loan documentation status within record retention system and follow up on outstanding items/exceptionsMaintain and organize digital and physical loan documentationFile and/or release perfected itemsAssist with post-closing documentation audits and quality controlProvide support during audits and regulatory examinationsRespond to internal and external inquiries related to loan documentationVarious projects and duties as assigned by the Loan Compliance OfficerMinimum Qualifications and SkillsHigh school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferredAt least five (5) years of experience in loan operations, loan servicing, or a related financial institution role with commercial, consumer, and/or mortgage loan productsUnderstanding of compliance regulations including but not limited to TRID, Flood, UDAAP, BSA, and HMDAExperience with loan origination and record retention systemsExperience with banking core applicationsStrong attention to detail and accuracyExcellent organizational and time-management skills including but not limited to the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentIntermediate skills with MS Office Suite, especially MS Excel and MS WordExcellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to exercise discretion and confidentialityNotary Public certification preferredPhysical RequirementsTime spent standing: Less than 10%Lifting: 10 pounds Frequency: OccasionallyOther: Ability to speak and hear clearly.
