Job summary

Lendmark Financial Services in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Sr. Loan Consultant to support the Branch Manager and oversee branch operations, ensuring staff perform duties with trust, service, security, and customer satisfaction.

The position involves mentoring staff to meet profitability and lending goals, making consumer loan decisions within approved limits, and expanding business through local relationships. Strong communication and consumer finance experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• 5+ years consumer finance or related experience.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficient working knowledge of industry lending software, Microsoft Windows, Excel and Word Applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the management and motivation of staff to meet goals relating to branch profitability, volume, lending, credit quality, collections and expenses.
• Make loan decisions up to established lending limits or recommend loan decisions; process consumer loans; close consumer loans; collect accounts in varying stages of delinquency.
• Assist branch manager with business development relationships within the community.
• Sell products and services to meet sales goals.
• Assist customers with the implementation of solutions and monitor overall customer satisfaction.
• Assist branch manager with hiring, staffing, training, performance reviews and terminations as applicable.
• Ensure a high quality of customer service.
