Job summary

American Electric Power in Columbus, OH, is seeking an experienced professional to lead large-load forecasting and reporting. This role interfaces with operating company teams, FP&A, and investor relations to drive accurate forecasts and compelling narratives for executive briefings.

You will oversee data management, dashboarding, and scenario planning for load growth, while supporting regulatory filings and strategic planning in a on-site environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, operations research, statistics, economics, data science, computer science or related technical field is required.
• 8 years of experience required; an equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered (Principal level).
• Proven problem solving, critical thinking, and strong oral and written communication skills; exposure to SAS, R, Python and PowerBI.

Responsibilities

• Lead Large Load Forecasting and Data Center Forecasting processes with monthly reporting.
• Support regulatory filings related to Large Load (IRPs, Rate Cases) and PJM Load additions.
• Develop Large Load assumptions for annual load forecast and provide scenario guidance to FP&A.
