Job summary

Robinhood is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Load and Fault Environments team in Menlo Park, CA. You will design and build infrastructure to simulate load, inject faults, and validate system behavior at scale for a fast-growing financial platform.

You will own platform components end-to-end, write production-quality code, and collaborate with infrastructure and product teams to ensure tooling adoption and reliability improvements. In-person presence is expected 3 days per week.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with production systems
• Experience designing or contributing to load testing, fault injection, chaos engineering or developer tooling infrastructure
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and failure modes
• Experience integrating resilience tooling into CI/CD pipelines is a plus

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain load testing and fault injection infrastructure across Robinhood engineering teams
• Own platform components end-to-end from architecture to deployment and testing
• Collaborate with infra and product teams to translate resilience needs into platform capabilities
• Define steady-state hypotheses, blast radius controls, and fault injection primitives for safe chaos experiments
• Write clean, well-tested code and contribute to technical design discussions
