Job summary

ABB Motors and Drives North America in New Orleans, LA is seeking a Senior Field Service Electrical Engineer (LNG Experience) to commission, troubleshoot, and maintain ABB motors, drives and related electrical systems at LNG and other industrial facilities.

You will perform field diagnostics, electrical testing, root cause analysis, and deliver on-site technical training while ensuring safety standards. Travel to customer sites is required, and collaboration with operations teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in electrical engineering for power systems, motors and drives.
• Experience with field service activities such as commissioning, startup, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Familiarity with standards (NEC, IEEE, NFPA) and safe working practices in LNG environments.

Responsibilities

• Commission, start-up, test, troubleshoot and maintain ABB motors, drives, and control systems at LNG and industrial sites.
• Prepare technical reports and recommendations for customers.
• Support upgrades, modernization projects and on-site technical training while ensuring safety compliance.
